Project Overview
The Moxy Hotel is a 16-storey, 190-room development set to become New Zealand’s first high-rise modular hotel. Two conventional podium levels support prefabricated hotel modules—each delivered to site with fully integrated curtain wall façades, pre-fitted in the factory.
The façade design utilises a modular curtain wall system that ensures rapid installation and consistent quality. Glazing and cladding components are precision-installed off-site, enabling up to 16 rooms to be placed every four days. This off-site methodology improves build efficiency, weather resistance, and thermal performance, while reducing site disruption.
The result is a streamlined façade delivery model that complements the modular build philosophy, offering uniformity, durability, and high-performance envelope integrity across all elevations.
