In July 2014 we completed the recladding of Hobson Garden Apartments, a 2 tower apartment development that had ongoing weather tightness issues. Originally clad in a monolithic ACP system, KFI worked top down removing the cladding and installing a RAB system and fitting solid aluminium panels in an open joint drained and ventilated rainscreen configuration. New windows and doors were also installed to the apartments.
During this project KFI worked on site whilst the residents vacated and then reoccupied the apartments according to program requirements, requiring a particular projects management style and project staff selection process. We didn’t receive any dinner invitations but did come away with a few friends.
