Scott Marshall
Managing Director
As joint founder, Managing Director and Captain of KFI, Scott is kept exceptionally busy steering the organization through new business, offshore procurement/international supply and ensuring our clients receive outstanding quality materials for superb building outcomes. It’s no wonder this comes as second nature to Scott, he has more than 20 years’ experience in the NZ construction/building/façade industry.
On the rare occasion he’s not in the office, he’s spending time with his lovely wife and daughter, either enjoying time-out on their boat or carving it up on the slopes in the south. They also have two 2 Shih Tzu Lhasa Apso cross dogs who keep the family entertained on a regular basis.

Paul Yang
Director
Joint founder and Director, Paul provides the link in the supply chain where he oversees the manufacturing process to ensure production and delivery meets his strict standards. His 20 years construction and offshore procurement experience provides the quality demanded in order for KFI to deliver to market.
We don’t see Paul around much…because he’s making thing happen behind the scenes and he often has a number of strokes chasing a white ball around a golf course.

Michelle Copeland
Executive Assistant to Scott Marshall
With 16 years commercial experience in business analysis and management, both locally and internationally, Michelle is no kook when it comes to problem solving and getting stuff done. She’s the wearer of many hats, covering everything from HR, H&S, digital marketing, website management, site photography, documentation management and all kinds of support.
She also ensures there’s a plentiful supply of great coffee in the office and takes great care for our topiary plants (Harry and Lucy).
No matter the weather, Michelle can be found out on the water catching waves (or at least trying to!). Laughing inappropriately at unfortunate surf videos is also what you might catch her doing from time to time (because she can definitely relate!).

Hayden Mackenzie
Commercial Manager
Hayden isn’t your average Geologist come Commercial Manager. Having previously managed large exploration contracts and negotiated the sale and acquisition of mining tenements, assets and commodities on the international market, he’s no stranger to contracts and commercial dealings.
Ensuring financial goals are met, agreements are in place and working on business strategies is what he does best at KFI. He’s a qualified Engineering Geologist as well so he comes with a bunch of fascinating stories about his time working and living in remote parts of New Zealand, Australia, Indonesia, Vietnam and Canada (jungles and everything!).
When he’s not managing contracts, people and finances, you might find him studying, (already having been trained in accounting, economics and business analytics at Harvard Business School), spending time with family, scuba diving, boating or travelling.

Connie Zhang
Financial Accountant and Payroll Manager
With prior accounting experience in the fields of advertising and health industries and with more than 10 years construction accounting experience, Connie is our accounting and payroll whizz! She’s a an associated chartered accountant and an active member of the New Zealand Book Keepers Association too.
Once she’s done balancing the books in the office, she’s a very busy Mum, delicately balancing time with her family, her husband and two daughters. Her daughters love to spend their time reading (more books!) playing and learning.
If Connie can get a moment to herself, she practices playing the piano and ukulele.

Greg Carpenter
Installation Manager
Greg can have multiple balls to juggle on any given day as our Installation Manager / Team Captain of the installation teams. He’s certainly no rookie when it comes to fabrication and installation, with more than 24 years of commercial and construction experience. Leading installation teams is the position he plays most, along with tendering, budgeting, resource allocation, health and safety and training. He’s pretty much our installation Team Captain AND Utility Player.
Away from the field of installation, you’ll find Greg on the hockey field, indoor netball court or perfecting his dart throwing technique. He’s also really good at rocking the ol’ jandal and sock combo during the winter months and working hard on his jandal tan line right throughout the summer.

Anson Fung
Supply Chain and Procurement Manager
With 6 years supply chain and procurement management experience, Anson is our supply and procurement rock star. By day, Anson manages our procurement processes to ensure the right product is dispatched and delivered on-time, not only between countries but across various sites around NZ as well.
By night, Anson’s a rock star on the drums, having played for the last 10 years and has been in his metal band for the last 3. He finds drumming is a great form of stress release, he has loads of fun playing in the band and also sees it as a form of exercise! From time to time he kicks a ball around, playing soccer in a Sunday league team.
He’s been part of over 20 projects in NZ, with the ADHB carpark project being his most memorable so far.

Paul Zhao
Senior Facade Engineer
Our globe-trotting and astute Engineer, Paul, has more than 12 years’ expertise as a façade engineer. He’s worked on many large scale projects, with his impressive portfolio that includes hotels, Olympic parks, observatories and hospitals in Qatar, United Arab Emirates, China, Singapore, Australia and now New Zealand. Before now, his favourite international project was working on the City of Dreams hotel in China due to the knowledge and experience he gained during that time.
Paul enjoys playing football because it keeps him fit and healthy…and as you can see from his photo, enjoys a strum on the guitar every now and then. He’s currently auditioning as lead guitarist in Anson’s metal band…

Mathew Vinish
Project Manager
It’s Mathew’s 13 years facade construction experience in the UAE and Saudi Arabia that makes him a Master at managing our projects. Multi-faceted in his construction experience, from installation, construction site management and façade management, he knows what it takes to get everything done. Budgets, plans, resources, relationships, design, QA, health and safety, he’s all over it.
Outside of the office Mathew loves researching fabrication techniques and design. He’s also a bit of a master chef in South/North Indian dishes…He really does make a mean curry! We love it when he brings leftovers to the office…And we most certainly have lunch envy when he doesn’t!

Fiona Chen
Quantity Surveyor
Fiona’s life as a Quantity Surveyor began in China 3 and a half years before deciding to take the plunge and join us here in NZ. 18 months later, she’s our QS guru and go-to.
When chilling out, Fiona enjoys getting behind her camera and into nature to capture Aucklands ever changing seasons and scenery. You won’t find her getting in front of her own camera though – she hates selfies. She does get in front of her kindle however, often reading about the history of the world. Fiona also has a curiosity for kiwi idioms! Feel free to share some with her.

Allister Moo
Structural Engineer/Designer
Allisters’ 5 years’ experience in structural engineering, design and attention to detail makes him our engineering and QA connoisseur.
When Allister isn’t managing the design and QA processes with precision, you’ll find him hunting down Auckland’s perfectly engineered egg tarts. He’s definitely your egg tart go-to guy!

Chris Jiiang
On-site and Off-site Logistics Coordinator
Chris, our Logistics Coordination expert, has 5 years combined logistics and managerial experience. He’s kept busy making sure product and materials are dispatched from either China or from our two busy warehouses in Auckland on-time.
Chris is able to shoe-horn his coordination expertise into fashion as well with his impressive collection of awe-inspiring sneakers. On any given day, you’ll find Chris with a pair of perfectly coordinated and styled sneakers to compliment his work attire for the day. He’s also into retro sports cars, hip-hop, music and a bit of fitness (which he uses less than 1% of his sneaker collection for).

Mike Baggstrom
Site Manager
Multi-talented is our Mike, with more than 10 years site management experience, previous foreman, installer and panelbeater.
A bit of a petrolhead, Mike keeps himself busy with this family (wife and 4 kids) plus two Harley Davidsons, one of which he and his wife recently rode 18,000 kms around America on. He loves spending quality time with the family, even better if they can get out on the bikes for a ride with friends and have a few good laughs over beers at the end of the day. He’s into his cars as well, having restored a Holden HK Premiere back in his panelbeating days.
Mike’s favourite project was Argent Hall, being his first project at KFI that he could really sink his teeth into and be challenged by.

Mark Wilson
Site Manager
With 12 years façade design experience, Mark decided to get his hands dirty and jump into site management where he’s been hustling for the last 12 months.
Mountain biking, rugby and craft beer is what keeps Mark entertained and generally out of trouble on weekends. Originating from the UK but calling Christchurch home, the question stands, who does he support during the Lions or English tours? Feel free to ask him.

John Demiri
Installations Site Manager
Johns certainly knows his stuff when it comes to installation and site management with more than 10 years’ experience under his belt.
When he’s not running his site like a well-oiled machine, he’ll either be at home doing a bit of DIY (he simply can’t get enough of his high-vis), walking the dog, taking his daughter for bike rides or watching the rugby.

Luke Horne
Assistant Site Manager
Working his way up from Façade Installer to Assistant Site Manager, Luke is a legend at planning, overseeing the installation process and executing onsite QA. His previous hands-on installation experience ensures installation and associated procedures are carried out with precision.
When he’s not assisting on site, he’s studying for his Diploma in Construction Management and looks to continue with a Bachelor in the same field.
When Luke gets some spare time, he hikes and likes to eat good food (we’re assuming he doesn’t mean scroggin here).
His favourite project (Sale Street) isn’t just due to a lot of great eateries nearby! It’s because of its unique and complex design and the many components of the facade that make it what it is.
